As a follow up to November's Think Tank on Access to Family Justice, the Community Legal Information Association is hosting Peter Marshall, an experienced child advocacy lawyer from Ontario, to speak to Islanders about how the Child Advocate system works in Ontario. This session will run from 10 until noon.
Peter will also be presenting on the innovative use of alcohol monitoring ankle bracelets as a means of creating more community-based alternatives to incarceration and - in family law - more options for resolving custody/access cases and addressing child protection concerns when alcohol is the primary risk factor. This "Lunch & Learn" session will run from noon until 1 p.m.
Refreshments will be served.
Please RSVP by Monday April 2nd to email@example.com or 902-892-0853.
