May 29th to June 4th, 2016, is Victims & Survivors of Crime Awareness Week (VSCAW).

Community Legal Information Association of PEI (CLIA) wrote a proposal to Justice Canada's Victims Fund and secured some funding to put on a VSCAW Launch concert featuring a variety of songwriters (and a few poets for punctuation) performing pieces on a theme of Victims of Crime.

The event is scheduled for Friday 3rd June between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.

A stellar selection of Island songwriters will perform new songs, try out a work in progress, or even interpret an appropriate "cover". You do not have to stay for the whole show if you have other fish to fry, but feel free to stick around for the creativity.  I hope that you will be able to join us.

The location will be in downtown Charlottetown at Marc’s Lounge (125 Sydney Street, Charlottetown) and the audience will be invited guests from Victim Services organizations, as well as victims of crime, the performers, legal professionals, allies, “dignitaries” and interested members of the public.

If you need more info, I can be reached via text or voice at 902-626-7399.

Let’s celebrate a compassionate and low-crime community.
