New Board of Directors for 2018-2019

We couldn't do our work without our Board!

Community Legal Information Association of PEI, Inc. (CLIA) is pleased to announce their new Board for 2018-2019. Five new members were elected and three existing members were re-elected. New members include Daniel Boudreau, representing Peers Alliance, PFLAG, and Pride PEI; Nihad Gohar, Newcomer citizen, formerly with the United Nations; Michael K. Corman, representing Seniors Health with the PEI Department of Health and Wellness; Rinku Upadhyaya, Newcomer citizen; and Tara Wheeler, with Arsenault Best Cameron Ellis. These individuals bring unique skill sets to CLIA, diverse perspectives, and strong connections to the community.

Jenny Mason, representing the Family Law Centre, Bethany Knox, representing the PEI Department of Justice and Public Safety, and Olive Bryanton (Secretary), representing the UPEI Centre on Health & Aging, were re-elected to the CLIA Board for new terms. Their expertise and experience with CLIA is a huge asset and we’re so pleased they will remain on the Board.

Our existing Board Members include Paul Bender; Sheri Bernard, representing the Mi'kmaq Confederacy of PEI; Jeff Collins; Blair Corkum (Treasurer); Lisa Dollar, representing the PEI Association for Newcomers to Canada; Darrell Gallant; Sr. Norma Gallant, representing Francophone Islanders and Seniors; Pamela Large-Moran (Vice-President); Jonathan Matters; Sarah Stewart-Jackson; and Michael Zimmerman (President).

We look forward to another productive year providing public legal education and information on PEI!

As well, we are grateful to our outgoing Board Members, Cathy Chaisson, Warren Banks, Peter Ghiz, Rachael Mella, and Michael Ramsay for their outstanding work with CLIA.
