Criminal Code Revisions & New Provincial Legislation
Recent amendments to the Criminal Code and new provincial legislation have rendered most of the CLIA publications containing information for victims of crime out of date and created the need for new publications. Our publications are distributed across PEI and are also used by many organizations that support victims. It is critical that our materials and our knowledge is up-to-date. All staff who work on the inquiry line must also be updated with new information.
To meet the needs of Island victims of crime, those who are at risk of victimization and their families, CLIA proposed to create two new pamphlets and revise six existing publications. Once this work is done, we will inform Islanders of these changes through our website, media releases, newsletter, and dissemination of materials to all appropriate organizations, agencies, and departments.
Project Objectives:
To ensure our materials and knowledge are up-to-date as we support victims and families
